Wavedrain
A new benchmark in Residential Drainage
Trench drains for residential applications have been limited to a raft of simple plastic or polymer channels with plastic or pressed steel grates. They’re cheap and readily available in every large hardware store, however they’re generally not load rated or manufactured to industry standards.
“We didn’t want to offer a residential product… the market is flooded with options however that changed when I saw the ductile iron Wavedrain grate.” Nick Taylor, GM Mascot Engineering said. “This product fills the gap between the plastic entry level product and the significantly more expensive heelproof stainless steel grates. Wavedrain is heelproof, boltdown and exceeds the Class B load rating. The channel body is manufactured from 100% recycled HDPE… as a package it’s got it all, whilst being aesthetically discreet and hydraulically efficient.”
Manufactured in Italy, and now available in Australia, the Wavedrain product from Technodrain is load tested to 125kN (12.5 tonne), which exceeds the Class B loading requirements found in AS3996:2019. Complying to the worldwide standard of EN1433 Wavedrain is an ideal driveway drain for residential, commercial and urban environments.
The unique ‘wave’ pattern of the ductile iron drainage grate with gaps of only 6mm reduces the change of the drain below blocking up with leaves, at the same time as being bicycle, scooter and wheelchair friendly, and of course it is heelproof making it the ideal drainage channel for your home.
Wavedrain is available from a number of resellers and is stocked nationally at Mascot Engineering’s locations.
