Sydney’s Leichhardt Bus Depot is being retrofitted with 40 electric buses as part of a $36M pilot program to deliver an electrified fleet of public buses to Sydney.
The pilot will see the initial fleet of buses service the Inner West, CBD, Mascot and Green Square. This pilot is intended to provide the framework for the further electrification of Sydney’s entire bus network in line with a plan to deliver on a zero emissions transport system by 2050.
Major works are currently underway to construct the electrical groundworks that will service the charging stations and other electrical requirements of the newly updated bus depot.
Our client, Tobco were engaged to deliver the electrical infrastructure to this exciting energy infrastructure project. A series of Mascot GRC Cable Pits and Mascot Custom Switchboard Substation Pits were commissioned to be designed in accordance with Tobco’s specific requirements.
