Class G Precast Concrete Pits for Sydney Airport

With an aim to reduce time on site, Mascot Engineering was engaged by the civil contractor to design and supply two precast concrete pits for works at Sydney International Airport.  The cable jointing pits, complete with Mascot Access Covers had to be suitable to withstand a Class G (AS3996 2019) loading.

Not only did the contractor reduce the time on site by using a precast product rather than pouring in-situ, but the disruptions to the busy Airport forecourt was kept to a minimum.  This package is one of many that Mascot Engineering has supplied to Sydney Airport in recent years.
