Toowoomba Regional Council awarded Fulton Hogan the $28 million contract to conduct upgrades to the Mt Kynock Water Treatment Plant, intended to improve water security in line with population growth forecasts to 2031.
Mt. Kynock, a picturesque region known for its natural beauty, has been grappling with wastewater management issues in recent years. Increased urbanisation and population growth have led to a surge in wastewater generation, posing a threat to the delicate balance of the local ecosystem. Recognising the need for a comprehensive and sustainable solution, Towoomba Regional Council initiated the Mt. Kynock Waste Water Treatment Upgrade.
To support the Water Treatment Plant upgrade Mascot Engineering were asked by Fulton Hogan to provide a series of GRC Cable Pits, GRC Risers and Gastight Cast Iron Infill Covers in Class D to support the cable enclosure requirements at the Treatment Plant.
Mascot GRC Pits are the ideal solution for projects such as the Mt Kynock Waste Water Treatment Plant as they are capable of withstanding the journey to remote and difficult areas due to their high strength to weight ratio. Unlike other lightweight pit solutions, Mascot GRC Pits have no problem making the journey in one piece.
