Cable Pits & Lids for Water Infrastructure
The Far North Queensland regional town of Mareeba has seen a significant increase in population in recent years… so much so that the existing wastewater treatment plant was overloaded. The upgrade of the Mareeba WWTP project was a critical infrastructure project aimed to deliver a reliable utility service that mitigates environmental health. The environmental benefits are not only to the town, but to the receiving waters of Two Mile Creek whilst the bio-solids will be used as fertiliser by local farmers on sugar cane, avocados, bananas, mangoes, lychees and cropping pastures.
So many good news stories from this single Water Treatment Plant. A growing Australian town that is assisting Australian farmers and growers while benefiting the Australian environment, and that the product used from Mascot Engineering is also manufactured here in Australia.
Mascot GRC Cable Pits where chosen and installed by a local electrical contractor on the project. The lightweight concrete pits and Class C Checkerplate Covers (both manufactured here in Australia) where supplied from stock in our Brisbane warehouse via cost effective transport to Far North Queensland.
