Sydney Water’s new Liverpool Pumping Station benefiting 84,000 dwellings in southwest Sydney is getting a bit of media attention, and Mascot Engineering is proud to supply large scale Custom Electrical Pits to this significant project.
Part of the $450M Prospect to Macarthur (ProMac) Project, the new pumping station will support the growing southwest regions of Liverpool, the new Western Sydney Aerotropolis as well as Menangle Park. The second largest water pumping station ever built by Sydney Water will allow for an additional 115 ML of reservoir capacity in Western Sydney
To service the electrical needs of the pump station, Mascot Engineering provided Custom Precast Electrical Pits, fitted with bellmouth pipe entries accompanied by a Custom Precast cover slab, fitted with Class B Solid Top Access Covers.
The 5m x 1m and 3.3m x 1m Precast Pits constructed at our purpose-built facility in Newcastle just needed to be lifted into position, saving the installers time and money on casting insitu, and ensuring certainty in compliance and quality of such important enclosures.
This significant infrastructure project is intended to support the growing needs of Sydney’s southwest over the next 30 years. Mascot Engineering’s solution is designed and engineered to see the facility through those 30 years and beyond.
