Vic State Government has major project in progress to remove 75 x Rail Level Crossings – Either roads built over rail or rail over road (Sky Rail) with 46 crossing removals completed to date.
The Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP) due for completion in 2025 is one of Victoria’s key infrastructure projects; and is designed to improve safety, improve travel time and increase the capacity of Melbourne’s train network.
