Rail Cable Pits & Covers
Constructed to house the new Waratah Trains for Sydney Trains, the temporary rail stabling yard in Enfield had over 10,000sqm of pathways with lighting and CCTV cabling. Mascot GRC Pits and non-slip checkerplate covers were chosen and installed by the contractor, Degnan Constructions for the lighting and CCTV cable jointing pits.
The project had a number of challenges… not only were there a large number of subcontractors, but the stabling yard was constructed within an existing working rail yard which also housed local endangered Green and Gold Bell Frogs. We like to think that with these site and environmental challenges, our client had enough concerns and that rail pits shouldn’t be one of them.
Mascot Engineering GRC Cable Pits have been used on rail and infrastructure projects since the 1980’s and we’ve been supplying Australian projects with Australian manufactured products since 1920. Rely on us for your next project.
