Goulburn Aquatic and Leisure Centre is currently undergoing redevelopment, and chose Mascot Engineering through their contractor Canberra Hydrovac to provide Custom Cable Pit solutions to the project.

The sites redevelopment includes a complete refurbishment of the existing 25m pool, an additional pool as well as a new hydrotherapy pool, café and outdoor play area. The project is sectioned into a number of stages, with this first stage budgeted at $29 million.

Mascot Engineering supplied a Custom Concrete Electrical Pit as well as a series of GRC Pit solutions designed to enclose the electrical components that service lighting, the café as well as the other electrical needs of the Leisure Centre. Development on the site is still underway.

The Mascot team were on hand to design and manufacture the perfect solution for our client Canberra Hydrovac, who specialise in the excavation requirements of civil projects in the Canberra area, and were appointed to the new development of the Leisure Centre.

This project is another example of what can be achieved when the Mascot team partner with industry experts to deliver important spaces that the local community can enjoy for generations. We look forward to visiting the new Centre when it is due to open later in 2021.
