The urban transformation of former industrial and maritime land in the heart of Newcastle continues with the ongoing works in the Honeysuckle precinct.

Mascot Engineering products can be found throughout the area; however these photos are of our P8/J8 sized GRC Cable pits adjacent to the Honeysuckle Quays are through to the Little National Hotel development.

Our CJP8 range of Mascot GRC Pits have been installed along this corridor and chosen given their popular P8 size, however the client required a heavier load rating than that achievable with our Plastic Pit range.  Paired with our galvanised mild steel checkerplate (ant slip) covers complete with custom marker plates, these pits are increasing in popularity with specifiers due to their familiar size and ability to be installed in areas expecting heavier traffic loadings.

Our range of Mascot GRC Cable Pits continues to expand to include more traditional plastic pit sizes with the P5 and P8 sizes available in heavy duty, lightweight glass reinforced concrete.  The P5 sized GRC pits can be found around the corner from these on the Newcastle Light Rail project.
