To significantly reduce time on site, Road & Rail Excavations chose to submit our segmented Coreworx Joint Bay to Systems Connect for approval to install at the Artarmon Substation 33kV upgrade as part the Sydney Metro project.
The Segmented Precast Joint Bay system is a patented design of Mascot Engineering’s which allows for the large custom precast cable pit to be supplied in sections to reduce the size of crane needed and to allow it to be precast off site in a controlled environment. This saves precious time on site, reducing the hours of road closure and disruption to the community.
For this project, we designed, certified, manufactured and delivered the segmented joint bay complete with cast in unistrut brackets, bellmouths, certified pulling eyes, step irons and earthing continuity.
