27 May 2011 - Mascot is now an Associate of the Master Plumbers' Association of Queensland
 Mascot hasn't been in Brisbane (officially) for very long, though we are working on quickly becoming an active and supportive member of the building and plumbing industry throughout the state. The first step was to strengthen our relationship with the Master Plumbers' Association of Queensland (MPAQ). The MPAQ is running Plumbing Forums and Trade Nights throughout the year, and we'll be present at all of them. These nights will be held in Cairns, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Fraser Coast, Brisbane, Townsville, Mackay & Rockhampton – some of these have already past, and they were great nights – a full list of the upcoming shows are below;
June 7, 2011 – Brisbane South – QLD Lions Soccer Club
August 3, 2011 – Townsville – Townsville RSL
August 4, 2011 – Mackay – Souths Leagues Club
August 18, 2011 – Rockhampton – Rockhampton Leagues Club
October 5, 2011 – Brisbane North – Norths Leagues & Services Club
All events are free of charge to the plumbing industry and run from 3:30pm to 7:00pm. Light refreshments are provided – as well as some light entertainment from our guys demonstrating the easiest pipe entries in the industry.

25 March 2011 - Finally… we have stock in Brisbane. And plenty of it!!
 This week our first truck load of stock arrived in our new warehouse in Brisbane.
We've been supplying the Queensland market through distributors and from Sydney for years – actually, we've had our Grease Arrestors approved by Brisbane Water since 2001.
Our new facility in Meadowbrook (just off the Logan Motorway and less than 10 minutes from the M1), is full of stock – ensuring we can get orders on site when you want, rather than when we can.
We are now also able to offer you the level of support and technical backup to match the quality of our products.

18 February 2011 - Heavy Duty - Lightweight
 Another
cracking example of working smarter with Mascot Pits… there are 98 pits
on this truck and not a single fragile sticker in site!!
These 450sq x 800mm deep pits are heading
out of our Perth warehouse to a site in WA– so not only are they
suitable for loads up to Class F – but they’ve survived the gruelling
trip from our manufacturing plant in Sydney. Mascot Glass Reinforced
Concrete pits are strong, durable and won’t be broken when they turn up
on site like other ‘lightweight’ materials.
So not only are they strong, but
think of the freight savings in this load – there are 98 pits on this
truck. If you wanted to replicate this load with old fashioned pre cast
concrete pits, you’d need another 6 or 7 trucks.

3 December 2010 - Lightweight Concrete Planter Boxes - Ideal for Terrace Houses
 Space
is an issue in Sydney’s inner suburbs – particularly space for gardens.
The photo (left) shows our GRC Planter Boxes installed in a small
alcove in a terrace house in Sydney’s Inner West.
The Architect and Owner wanted to bring
light into the narrow house, creating a void on the northern boundary
adjacent to the open plan living area. The space allowed for a small
garden and after researching all the options, they selected Mascot’s GRC
Planters due to their strength and ease of installation. The Planters
where carried through the house and passed through a bi-fold window into
place – drainage holes where installed (simply using a hammer), and
they where finished to match the surrounding brickwork.

9 July 2010 - VIC Grease Interceptor
 Victoria's
first lightweight concrete Grease Interceptor/Arrestor was officially
launched at the 2010 Melbourne DesignBuild Exhibition. Manufactured
from Mascot's unique Glass Reinforced Concrete (GRC) - a composite of
concrete and fibreglass technologies, It has the benefits of both
products: the solidity of concrete and the high instantaneous strength
of resin fibreglass – and most importantly fully approved for use in
Victoria.
Sizes available: 600L, 1100L, 1500L, 2000L, 2500L and 3000L

Another Moving Story – Perth
The relocation in Sydney went so
well, we decided to move our Perth operation too. As most of you know,
we where struggling with space in Malaga – Grease Arrestors and Dilution
Pits everywhere – so we’ve moved to a brand new (and much bigger)
warehouse just a little further north in Landsdale. Our phone and fax
numbers remain the same and we’ll put up a photo of the new place
shortly.

We've Moved!
It's a big year for us at
Mascot... we're celebrating our 90th year and we've moved! After almost
50 years in Regents Park, we've moved to larger premises in Smithfield -
just 10 minutes from the M4 Cumberland Highway exit. The new premises
have been designed to maximize production of our unique GRC products.
More production means more stock - which means you can get the products
you want, when you want - not when we can. As well as our usual
lightweight Glass Reinforced Concrete products, we now have stock of a
larger range of Cast Iron Gastight Covers and Frames to suit all load
ratings and have plenty of new products in the pipeline.

This Website
It’s only taken us two years, but
finally our new website is live. The old one was quite functional and
had all the information, but lacked our new products like our trench
systems and trade waste products for Western Australia, Queensland and
Victoria.
We’re sure you’ll find this one much easier to use.
